Biography

James Barr is a comedian, broadcaster and storyteller behind one of the most talked-about shows of Edinburgh Fringe 2025, Sorry I Hurt Your Son (Said My Ex To My Mum).

A multi-award-winning performer, James has been praised as “brave, funny and gloriously empowering” (Broadway Baby) His darkly hilarious, genre-defying comedy show won him three major award nominations at the Edinburgh Fringe, and a place among the Best Reviewed Shows of 2025.

Off stage, James co-hosts weekday mornings on Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East and Will Best. His provocative and playful appearances on Piers Morgan Uncensored have racked up over 50 million views, and his hit podcast A Gay And A NonGay won both a Webby & LOVIE award in 2025 and remains one of the UK’s most loved LGBTQ+ shows.
