Biography
Sooz Kempner started comedy in 2009, won Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards in 2010, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Music that same year. In 2012 she won the Variety Award at the Funny Women Awards.
She made her Edinburgh debut in 2014 and performed her eleventh solo hour, Sooz Kempner is Ugly –a show about looks, trolling, and Noel’s House Party– at the 2025 Fringe to jam-packed rooms.
Sooz cohosts two podcasts, Mystery on the Rocks, a true crime and cocktails comedy podcast with comedians Chris Stokes and Masud Milas, and The Queen Podcast, the UK’s official Queen podcast featuring licensed music by the band alongside John Robins, Simon Lupton and Rohan Acharya,
Outside comedy, Sooz performs in musical theatre and is a regular collaborator with Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer the Opera).
