Hello again!

It’s been a brilliant couple of months for Gag Reflex, packed with musicals, Pride season, World Cup songs and a very special wedding. With summer in full swing, we’re taking a look back at June and July before we all disappear to Edinburgh.

What’s been happening?

Sooz Kempner starred in Grayson the Musical at Soho Theatre Walthamstow. She also wrote an episode of BBC Radio 4’s P.O.V., listen again  here. She is off to Fringe and out on tour with Imposter this year. Tickets can be found on Sooz’ website.

Flat and the Curves’ Rosé Tinted tour kicked off at Salisbury Arts Centre! The tour continues throughout the rest of 2026 and into 2027, with dates and tickets on our website.

This year at Pride, Kate Butch was performing across the UK at Birmingham, Chesterfield, Buxton and Ashford Prides. She was also chosen as one of the international queens at Drag Con Brazil in São Paulo! While Ada Campe brought the mic to Chipping Norton Pride. 

Alice Fraser took part in BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News, chatting all things World Cup, politics and even research into how much we speak.  Listen here.

Joe Sutherland appeared on Stuart Goldsmith’s The Comedian Comedian Pod, where highlights included being smuggled into a comedy club as a child by his dad to see comics perform. Listen here.

Thinking Drinkers partnered with Guinness 0.0 to take on The Great Irish Pub Ride, riding the MizMal, Ireland’s iconic end to end route from south to north, on a tandem. As always, they were championing local pubs and people in communities all over the country and visited some of Ireland’s most iconic pubs. The project was supported by VFI Ireland and Stena Line, and The Devonshire hosted the film. Watch the vlogs here.

After a year’s hiatus, they’re back at Edinburgh Festival Fringe with their new show The Great British Pub Ride. Get your tickets here.

Inside Gag HQ…!

Hannah (Corporate and Cruise Lead) and Lee (Director) had the opportunity to sail on The Legend of the Seas. They were invited on for the inaugural voyage by our partners at Royal Caribbean.

Hannah married! Congratulations to Hannah who married Sandy in Las Vegas. 

This year has gone super fast and we are steaming towards our relocation to Edinburgh Fringe! We were also lucky enough to have some local Fringe previews, including Ben Hart at Octagon Theatre, Bolton and Kate Butch and Mr Thing at Waterside Arts, Sale.

Phenomenal summer for Rosco McClelland! Before heading off to Fringe (tickets here), he performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra to record a special World Cup song for the Scotland team, celebrated on stage at TRNSMT Festival, and then was off to Soho Theatre to perform the critically acclaimed How Could Hell Be Any Worse? 

What’s coming up…!

Following the sell-out run of Choose Your Own Cabaret UK and Ireland tour, Kate Butch is off to Bloomsbury Theatre in November performing the regional hits of the tour, tickets for A Local Song For Local People are on sale now.

Barbara Nice has been announced to appear on Deal or No Deal! She also took the stage at Royal Court Theatre performing in Rajiv Joseph’s Archduke this July.
