Kicking Off 2026 at Gag Reflex!
Happy New Year!!
It was a busy and exciting close to 2025 for Gag Reflex with pantomimes, final tour shows and more. With the new year underway, we’re starting things off by revisiting how we closed out 2025, sharing a few highlights and behind-the-scenes snippets from the office and beyond.
What’s been happening…?
Kate Butch has officially been announced as a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World: All Stars!! We’re incredibly excited to see Kate showcase her talent on such an iconic international stage. The competition brings together fan-favourite queens from around the world to battle it out for the ultimate crown. Be sure to tune in and support Kate as she takes to the global stage!
Ada Campe and Kate Butch were keeping the panto spirit alive this season, starring in Snow White – All Drag Panto at the Emerald Theatre, London and Growled – Beauty and the Beast Continues… at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, London. Audiences were treated to comedy, sparkle, and just the right amount of festive mischief.
Shout-out time! Joe Sutherland’s The Het Podcast has had some amazing guests this month, including Just May, Kemah Bob and Jessica Fostekew, serving up laughs, stories, and plenty of unexpected moments. Be sure to check out new episodes on Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts!
Rosco McClelland has launched a brand-new podcast with Christopher MacArthur Boyd, entitled Shooting Ropes. The show promises a mix of sharp comedy, witty banter, and engaging conversations. The first episode is out now on Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!

To round off the year, we came together for our annual Christmas night out. The evening kicked off with a competitive trip to The Cube, where Hannah and Sarah emerged victorious, securing eternal bragging rights over the rest of the team. We then enjoyed a well-earned dinner, celebrating everything we achieved throughout 2025.

Big congratulations to Alex Mitchell, who reached the final of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year! It was a brilliant event, celebrating some of the best emerging comedy talent around. This was a great milestone for Alex and we can’t wait to see what he does next!

Barbara Nice is starring in When We Are Married by J.B. Priestley at the Donmar Warehouse! Don’t miss this chance to see her hilarious performance live in London. Tickets are still available for the rest of January and February.

Leicester Comedy Festival is back, and Gag Reflex has seven acts ready to make audiences laugh out loud! John Robertson, Alex Mitchell, Jonny Awsum, Jessie Nixon, Rosco McClelland, Sooz Kempner and Aaron Simmonds will all be taking to the stage. Tickets are still available, with more information about each show on the Leicester Comedy Festival website.
Our next Industry Showcase is happening on 29th January, with an exciting 2026 lineup. Rosco McClelland, Sooz Kempner, Aaron Simmonds & Jessie Nixon are all taking to the stage at Seven Dials Playhouse in London. We’re excited to showcase these amazing talents and hope to see you there!
